Al iniciar el windows live mail me da el error side_by_side configuration is incorrect
Probá descargando e instalando el Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86 - For 32 Bit Systems), el cual podrás descargarlo aquí: Redistributable Package
Luego hacé lo mismo con la nueva versión: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)
También deberías asegurarte que tenés el sistema Windows completamente actualizado aquí: http://www.windowsupdate.com/
